Sandra Chacon,  LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hello! I am Sandra, Founder & Clinical Director of Love and Wellness Counseling. I am a bilingual Therapist (English & Spanish). I specialize in Trauma therapy, relationship therapy, and Immigration Mental Health Evaluations in Salt Lake City and throughout Utah.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Love and Wellness Counseling, a bilingual mental health practice serving individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents throughout Utah. As an immigrant from Colombia, bilingual therapist, and community advocate, I understand the unique challenges that can come with navigating life transitions, cultural identity, relationships, trauma, and the pursuit of healing.

For over a decade, I have been dedicated to helping people overcome emotional barriers, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change in their lives. My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed, creating a safe space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered.

I specialize in trauma therapy, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, domestic violence recovery, life transitions, and substance use concerns. I work with individuals who are struggling with stress, self-esteem, grief, family conflict, career pressures, entrepreneurial challenges, and difficult life experiences. Whether you are facing a recent crisis or carrying wounds from the past, therapy can help you develop the tools and resilience needed to move forward.

As the owner of Love and Wellness Counseling, I am passionate about increasing access to quality mental health services for both English and Spanish-speaking communities. Our practice provides individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, child and adolescent therapy, trauma treatment, and culturally informed mental health care throughout Salt Lake City and across Utah through telehealth.

In addition to therapy services, I provide immigration mental health evaluations for individuals and families pursuing immigration relief. These evaluations include VAWA evaluations, U Visa evaluations, T Visa evaluations, Hardship Waivers, Asylum cases, and N-648 evaluations. I work closely with attorneys and clients to provide comprehensive, clinically sound, and trauma-informed assessments that accurately document emotional and psychological impacts.

My professional philosophy is rooted in the belief that healing happens when people feel safe, supported, and connected. I strive to help clients build healthier relationships, improve emotional well-being, and discover strengths they may not yet recognize in themselves.

When you work with me, you can expect a collaborative and nonjudgmental approach that honors your experiences, values, and goals. Together, we can explore challenges, develop effective coping strategies, and create a path toward greater balance, healing, and fulfillment.
