Love and Wellness Counseling was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that every person, regardless of language, background, or life circumstances, deserves access to compassionate, high-quality mental health care. From the beginning, our bilingual team has been deeply committed to serving both English- and Spanish-speaking communities throughout Salt Lake City and the greater Wasatch Front.

As our practice grew, so did our understanding of the gaps in care that existed within our community. Time and again, we heard from clients and from the families, attorneys, and case managers who referred them, about how difficult it was to find court-mandated classes in Utah that were truly accessible. The barriers were real:

• high program costs.

• Limited scheduling options.

• Language restrictions and a clinical environment that often felt intimidating rather than supportive.

For Spanish-speaking clients in particular, the challenge was even greater. Many were navigating the legal system in a language that was not their own, searching for court-ordered Spanish-language classes in Salt Lake City and coming up short. They deserved more than a translated handout. They deserved a program delivered with cultural understanding, clinical expertise, and genuine care.

We saw the need. And we chose to meet it.

That is why Love and Wellness Counseling made the deliberate decision to incorporate affordable, court-approved educational classes directly into our practice, offered in both English and Spanish, facilitated by licensed mental health professionals, and designed to be accessible without sacrificing quality. We believe that fulfilling a court requirement should also be an opportunity for real growth, not just a hurdle to clear.

Today, we are proud to offer two state-approved programs as part of our educational services:

• Prime For Life®: An evidence-based alcohol and drug risk reduction program recognized by Utah courts, available for individuals who are court-ordered or choosing to complete the class proactively.

• Court-Ordered Parenting Class: A trauma-informed, family-centered program for parents navigating divorce, custody, or family court proceedings in Utah.
