Nancy Martinez, CMHC
Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Hello, my name is Nancy Martinez, and I am a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and personal growth. I hold a master's degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) and a bachelor's degree in psychology with a Minor in Health Promotion and a Certificate in Positive Psychology from the University of Utah.

My clinical experience includes working in Crisis Intervention and Support Services at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute. I supported individuals during some of the most critical moments of their lives. This role helped me refine my active listening, empathy, and crisis response skills, while reinforcing my commitment to serving those in need with respect and compassion.

In my practice, I work with individuals facing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and trauma. I have a particular passion for trauma-informed care and draw on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness techniques to support clients in building resilience and reclaiming their sense of self.

As a bilingual therapist, I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, and I strive to create a welcoming, culturally inclusive space for individuals from all backgrounds. I am especially committed to empowering clients through a strengths-based approach that fosters hope, healing, and personal empowerment.
I would be honored to work with you if you're looking for a therapist who will meet you with empathy, respect, and the tools to help you move forward. Together, we can take meaningful steps toward the life you want to live.
